Today another blog! I moved into my apartment almost a week ago. My apartment is located near the Universidad de Deusto. This is ideal and this is also a nice neighbourhood to live. It is very peaceful here, but in the evening the people go to the bars and have some pintxos and drinks.
The apartment I live in is actually really big in comparison to the other apartments I have seen so far. We live here with just the three of us. A girl from Austria and the other girl comes from Chile.
Our apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big living room and also a kitchen. My bedroom is the biggest one. Attached to the kitchen is there also a small balcony. Not that we really use it, because there is no sun, but still!
The location is fine, but the centre, parte vieja and gros are a bit further away. When it is day there is no problem to walk or take the bus, but when we go out I don’t want to walk all the way back and there won’t be any bus leaving anymore. Taking a taxi is the only possibility and it is relatively cheap. You only pay €8,-. I think I still want to buy a bicycle, because I can move much faster and the possibilities for bikers is good here.
I had my first official schoolday of the semester today. I am still waiting for my grade of the intensive Spanish course, but I will receive it this week. The first lesson I had was economía internacional, this is international economics. This wasn’t my first choice, but the course I wanted was cancelled so I had to choose for something else. After this lesson I had an appointment with my coordinator to note my courses I want to take. When we wrote down the courses I had to go to another person who added it into a system and she made a different appointment for me with the general registration office. This is next week and after that I am officially registered for my classes.
It keeps us busy!
I am really curious about the rest of my courses. I think I made the right decision. I chose to take Spanish, International Human Resource management, Gestión del Talento (talentmanagement) and Simulación Estrategica de marketing.
Yesterday I had dinner at the house of some other people. They wanted to show us what kind of food they normally eat and what it meant for them to make this dinner for us. It was really good. It was Chinese by the way!
We are all planning on doing this more often. Ofcourse they are welcome in my apartment!
It isn’t always easy to be here, especially when you are home alone and when you miss the cosiness of home. Luckily I have some lovely friends here who also have the same as me. We hang out a lot and together we make sure that we feel better. And Nancy, together we can do this!
I will keep you posted of everything what happens here!
¡Hasta luego!

Wat gaaf dat je nu al zo goed als weet dat je de juiste beslissing hebt genomen door te gaan. En hoe verstandig dat je de taxi neemt! You go girl! Xxx
